Her husband is a chef which was interesting and he had a good recipe for Red Snapper that I am going to try.  Thanks!

I really like this one too http://www.benspark.com   Ben is an interesting person and has beautiful photos.  I go to his site, but don’t comment and so I guess he probably doesn’t know I visit there.

Our Trip to Nashville continued

Wednesday, September 5th, 2007

Hi everyone;   We had such a good time on our trip.   Got home at midnight Monday night and been trying to recoup since.   Today I went to my scraphouse and scraped.    Here are a few pictures of the place and the Legacy Five  Quartet.   We also attended The Grand Ole Opry and Little Jimmy Dickens and Porter Wagoner were the host.   Legacy Five brought all their 2000 people with them to the opry and we brought the house down with our clapping.   It was GREAT!!!

This is our friends Stan & Mary & Me and my husband Jack

This is inside Opryland in the cascades section.   It is so beautiful here.

This Hibiscus bloom looks great and they are everywhere.  Such a site to see.

This is Little Jimmy Dickens at the Opry.   He is really short,  still has a good voice.   Dickens is a funny man even to the end and he is 86 years old.   WOW

Little Jimmy Dickens

Scott Fowler who is the spokes -person for Legacy Five got to wear little Jimmy’s jacket and ask him if he could have it when he wanted to get rid of it and Dickens said … ” you know how much this jacket cost?”  Scott said, “No”  and Dickens said $7,000.00 and that ended that conversation.   Everybody laughed.

Legacy Five with Roger Bennett who passed away in March with luekemia.   The new pianist is Tim Parton.     Scott Fowler is the little short guy in the middle with a BIG heart, I might add.

These guys are just awesome in Southern Gospel Music.

Traveling With Friends

Friday, August 31st, 2007

This is the long Labor Day weekend and my husband, Jack and I are on our way to Nashville, Tennessee with our friends Stan & Mary Bennett from Peru, In - our home to go to a Gospel Singing with The Legacy Five Quartet as the host.   We booked our reservations last year when we were there on the same weekend and we are having a good time so far.   We stopped to spend the night at the Best Western in Sheperdsville, Ky and then on to Nashville tomorrow.   I have 2 sisters who live there and plan to see them briefly while we are there.

Mary and I have been reading and looking at magazines we haven’t had time to sit and look at because we are too busy at home to do it.   Any one get so many magazines you don’t have time to look at them all?

Remember back in July I posted some pictures of my Queen of The Night plantwhen it bloomed and it hadn’t bloomed for allmost 7 yrs or so, well guess what, I have 9 more blooms coming on and it is going to bloom again even yet this year.   There was a lady on ebay that I bought a couple more of those plants from and she told me if I would fertilize it with low nitrogen fertilizer it might start blooming again.  I did and obviously it works.   It was not long after that, it bloomed with 4 blooms.    It is so unbelieveable.  I can hardly wait.   I will put some more pictures on when it does.

I will try to write some as we are on our trip.   Not sure I know how to post some pictures, but will see if I can figure it out.   We are staying at the beautiful Gaylord Hotel and that is always so beautiful there.

Take care for now and God bless you all.

For Today

Sunday, August 26th, 2007

I am visiting some friends in Urbana Illinois and it is so nice to visit with them.   Everyone has retired for the evening, so thought I would get a post in.   We had a wonderful dinner and then just visited and we also got to see some friends who came up here to see us from Southern Indiana.   Gary, the husband of Audrey who we came to visit retired in 1998 from the University of Illinois where he was a professor with Department of Animal Science and his specialty was sheep.   He and Audrey just got back 4 months ago from New Zealand and Australia where they visited a number of Corridale sheep stations.   They attended the world Corridale congress held in Christchurch in New Zealand.   He has published a book about the history of the Corriedale sheep in this country, USA.   An article was published in the local News Gazette about his visit there.   He said in the newspaper article that ”Sheep are big business for Australia and New Zealand.  It was interesting to be in a situation where sheep are so vitally important to the economics of the country.”

Gary had some interesting articles in the book he wrote about these Corriedale sheep.    My friend, Audrey just had surgery for breast cancer last week and it is amazing how well she is doing.    They got all the cancer and the surrounding area and now she has to undergo radiation.   She said it was just so great, how her faith in God has helped her through this and how much she felt his presence.

She has been through a lot of things in the last several years and God has been with her through it all.    Believe there is a song about “Thru It All” and a good one at that.

My husband, Jack and I will be going home tomorrow afternoon and then back to work for Jack on Monday.   He is a building contractor of new homes and he has several going at this time.   I will relax and probably go back to my scrapbooking.   I am trying my best to get this album finished for my grandaughter that will be graduating next year an hope to have it done by then.   I am almost through her baby pictures and then on to some grammer age and then high school.   It has been fun.    Need to take a couple of pictures and post them here.

Well, I’ll go for now.   Have a wonderful life.    You only get one time through it.   God bless you all for now…….

See you soon.
