Books & Reading

Thursday, July 19th, 2007

I have been reading about almost all day today about Louis L’Amour and all the books he wrote and it is quite amazing that so many people have read all his books. I had never read one, because I am not one to read western books, but I may have to start now. http://www.louislamour.com He was really good it seems. What got me started, was the fact that I have a brother in prison and he wanted to read his books and can only get 2 per week, so went online looking for his books and spent the day there. Anyone ever do that? Go looking for something and then get stuck there? I also want to thank all of you who have gone to visit my site. I will try my best to visit you soon.

Garage Sale

Tuesday, July 17th, 2007

Now I remember why I don’t have garage sales! I spent so much time preparing for this garage sale and it took all day on Friday getting the tables set up. It was so tiring.

Saturday came and the big rush was in the morning. By noon it started to slow up and then no one came in the afternoon. We closed at 4.

Didn’t make very much money but we did have a good time sitting around, talking and making granny squares.

Off I Go

Friday, June 29th, 2007

Well, I am off to see my Mother and then on to Georgia for the wedding. I had a horrible time making my dress for the wedding. Let’s just say, the one I bought is very pretty. I hope everyone has a great 4th of July.

Forgot Something

Tuesday, June 19th, 2007

Probably the one thing that does make me slow down is that this is Monday and every Monday evening @ 6:30 we have a Bible Study here in our home and it is the one time for sure that I have to slow down and learn something about the lesson.   We have studied many studies and at this present time, we are studying “If You Want To Walk On Water, You Gotta Get Out of The Boat”.   It takes a lot of courage sometimes to get out of the boat, what ever your boat is.   We pray for each other and have refreshments and it is a very good time of fellowship.

What A Day

Tuesday, June 19th, 2007

What a day it has been!  I hardly had time to sit down and breathe today.  I cut out a dress and jacket that I am making to wear to my grandson’s wedding on 7/7/07 in Atlanta, Ga and my husband, Jack & I are leaving here, (IN) on the 27th to go visit my mother in Alabama for 6 days before going on to Ga [well, I am visiting and he is coming back home by way of Zoar, IN] where he will be attending a church to set up a Lay Witness Mission for later in the year and he will be coming back here to home and then coming to Nashville, TN [my sister is taking me there] where he will pick me up and then we will be going on to GA.   We will be returning on the 10th of July and my grandaughter is coming back with us then to visit with us until the 21st of July and she will be flying home.   We will have to take her to Indianapolis which is a 2 hr. drive and I am also having a garage sale on the 14th of July and will need to have most all of that ready before I leave.

I feel like I am in overload.   I don’t have a lot of time for doing many post obviously.    I am new at this and still am a novice at it.   I hope to catch on soon on how to look at all the sites and post on their sites.

Take care and just maybe, I’ll get back here soon.

This is good

Monday, June 11th, 2007

Good morning world,  I just got up and about and it is 10:00 am on Monday and being this layed back, easy going person, I am having a great time in this part of my life of being able to go to bed and get up when I want to most of the time.   God is good!  Life is good!   It took me enough years to get here since I am soon to be 69 in August.   I hope all who read this will have a happy day!   Be good to yourself today.
