More Pictures of Queen of The Night

A side view of one bloom

All this pink was forward covering the bloom before it started opening up and then later the next morning, it folds forward again and covers the flower.   That is it.

This snail decided to come out and get into the show also.

He is headed to the prop that the flower is laying on.  He eventually gets on the prop and crawls up and just lays there until I go to bed anyway.

  This is a different bloom.

Is this gorgeous or what?   Oh, and the sweet perfume fragrance was so nice too, especially strong because there were 4 blooms all at once.

A back side view of the second one from the top.

There he goes, up the board.

It was raining all evening, so I moved it over in front of a little closed in sitting area like a breeseway that we closed in and connected the house to the workshop we have.   My daughter and I were able to sit on the glider swing and watch it all.

Another beautiful shot.   You’re probably tired of looking at them by now.   You get the idea.

It was such an experience that you would have had to be here to appreciate.    Hope you enjoyed them all.

Wow that’s a great series of photos. Karen was actually nice enough to let me know that you had a little series on Queen of the Night. I’ve wanted to grow this plant for a long time, but I can’t find it here at all. I grow Jasmine and Passion flower in my Northern Garden- but then of course bring them indoors in the winter. My neighbors are Filipino, the plants are native to their country, and they told me about Queen of the night when I was looking for fragrant plants. It’s supposed to have quite an intoxicating scent.

I’d stay up to watch it bloom too. :)

Beautiful! How often does it bloom?

It would be amazing if you could take more photos (more frequently) and make them into a stop-animation video on YouTube! You can do it!

I must agree with my wife Tricia, I wish that we could find them here in Toronto!
