A side view of one bloom

All this pink was forward covering the bloom before it started opening up and then later the next morning, it folds forward again and covers the flower.   That is it.

This snail decided to come out and get into the show also.

He is headed to the prop that the flower is laying on.  He eventually gets on the prop and crawls up and just lays there until I go to bed anyway.

  This is a different bloom.

Is this gorgeous or what?   Oh, and the sweet perfume fragrance was so nice too, especially strong because there were 4 blooms all at once.

A back side view of the second one from the top.

There he goes, up the board.

It was raining all evening, so I moved it over in front of a little closed in sitting area like a breeseway that we closed in and connected the house to the workshop we have.   My daughter and I were able to sit on the glider swing and watch it all.

Another beautiful shot.   You’re probably tired of looking at them by now.   You get the idea.

It was such an experience that you would have had to be here to appreciate.    Hope you enjoyed them all.

My Daughter Visiting

Friday, July 27th, 2007

I have been having the greatest time with my daughter’s visit here and we have been scrapbooking at my very own scrapbook house which is the second house to where I live.  It has everything a person could need to scrapbook.   Then when I am done, I just leave everything the way it is and come back another day.  It is Great!

We also watched my plant bloom last evening.   It is a “Queen of The Night” and it has not bloomed for 7 years or so and then someone told me to put low nitrogen fertilizer on it and lo and behold, it has 4 blooms.   I was so excited when I first saw the buds.   It started blooming about 9:00 last evening and it took around 3 1/2hrs for all of them to totally open.   I blooms and then the next day, it droops and that is it.    I hope I can put a picture of it on here.  I am going to try.   I’ll talk to you another day.

Log Sculpting

Thursday, July 26th, 2007

sm-guy-sculpting-logs.jpg It is a bit hard to tell from that picture but that guy is sculpting logs. He made some awesome things. There were some beautiful benches I would love to have for my yard. I don’t know how we would ever get them home though. I’d never been to a Bass Pro Shop before. It was amazing.

Hello Everyone

Don’t have much time again.   My daughter from Georgia that I went to visit not long ago has come to visit and we are having a wonderful time.   We are going to shop, eat, crochet, scrapbook, go to a movie, go to the casino, shop, shop and shop and have fun, fun, fun.    I will get back here as soon as I can.

Books & Reading

Thursday, July 19th, 2007

I have been reading about almost all day today about Louis L’Amour and all the books he wrote and it is quite amazing that so many people have read all his books. I had never read one, because I am not one to read western books, but I may have to start now. http://www.louislamour.com He was really good it seems. What got me started, was the fact that I have a brother in prison and he wanted to read his books and can only get 2 per week, so went online looking for his books and spent the day there. Anyone ever do that? Go looking for something and then get stuck there? I also want to thank all of you who have gone to visit my site. I will try my best to visit you soon.

Garage Sale

Tuesday, July 17th, 2007

Now I remember why I don’t have garage sales! I spent so much time preparing for this garage sale and it took all day on Friday getting the tables set up. It was so tiring.

Saturday came and the big rush was in the morning. By noon it started to slow up and then no one came in the afternoon. We closed at 4.

Didn’t make very much money but we did have a good time sitting around, talking and making granny squares.

Home at last

Tuesday, July 10th, 2007

It was a really long trip for me. I got to visit with my 87 year old mother for 6 days and that was really nice. The bad part is that she is sad when I leave because she knows it will be another 6-7 months before she sees me again. Then off to Georgia for my grandson’s wedding which was soooo beautiful. I hope to post some pictures later. Then they were off to Hawaii for a honeymoon. Stayed another 2 days and then the long drive home. I crocheted all the way except for some time out breaks. I am making the granny squares for the cancer victim kids at summer camp next year. Go to this site and read about it. Share A Square Project I have 20 squares made so far. She will need them by the end of August. I think this is such a wonderful thing she is doing. If everyone would do a little it would go really fast.

It was nice to be in my own bed and today I slept most of the day and rested. Well, I will get back here soon. Everyone take good care of yourself.

We made it home. What a whirlwind of a trip. We had a nice time but it is good to be home again. My own bed feels so good.
